BITS now has a place on Twitter! Our customers have spoken -- a lot -- and we've started to listen. Click on the title to learn more. We've created an account as twitter.com/bitsltd, linked it to our site, and started meeting people who were already using Twitter to talk about the Smart Strip. (running a search on 'Smart Strip' was quite the eye opener.) A few caveats should be mentioned. The person primarily watching the twitter account will be the person writing this -- Don Forrester, BITS Webmaster, online Marketing Director and graphic artist. Since I don't handle customer service directly under normal circumstances, any questions I'm asked will be forwarded to our service team. So there might be delays. If you have an issue that directly relates to a unit you've purchased, you're much better off using our contact form. I wear a lot of hats these days, and I don't want to make you guys wait on my turnaround time to get your questions answered; use the contact form. Of course, if you have any questions or comments about the website, then posting it to Twitter will get it to the right person. But product issues aside, that leaves the world for us to talk about. Everything else you'd like to say is fully encouraged. We're making a real effort this year to start being more responsive to our product owners. We've always had pretty darned good customer service (Cory and Josh rock!) but we've been somewhat tone deaf to all the other kinds of things you had to say. We've found out lately that we've had videos made about us, our Smart Strips have been used as contest prizes, government agencies have made coupons and rebates for you to buy our products, and other crazy but great things have happened. We've seen people invent uses for our stuff that we'd never think of in a million years. Wouldn't it have been great if we'd been able to spread the word about the Canadian power companies that were giving away huge coupons for Smart Strips? We missed the boat on that one. This is our budding effort to not let that happen again. So if you use Twitter, follow us. We're planning contests, giveaways, and all kinds of similar stuff for the future. They'll be announced via our newsletter, here on our website, and Twitter. |
